Source (Petroleum Based): Paraffin (isoparaffmic or paraffinic hydrocarbon), material that
burns in candle flame, could also be polymeric. Gel
Candle: Clear candle, high aesthetics, recent trend in market, usually mineral oil or
ester (NEOBEE M5 type,) have had problems with flare up and resultant recalls. Liquid
Candles: Small market, usually liquid paraffin, floating or fixed wick that is “free”
